I can’t wait to sort through my instagram pics and pick memories I’d like to preserve. Thanks Pixaroll!
Here’s one of the many Pixaroll prints I got myself last year. It was taken at the now-closed Mochiko branch at The Collective. This was part of the card I was going to be making for my folks as one of the assignments in Fernando Sena’s art workshop. I love how a simple print can trigger so many memories in an instant:
One of my resolutions this year is to blog more, and I kind of miss lj and my lj friends, but I also miss time. It’s easier posting photos here, so I have decided to move my “Exploring the Universe” blogging here instead. Let’s start with this trip of my dreams, which came true because of the Universe and my loving family. I am beyond grateful for everything. Thank you, Universe!
I made a secret U.S. bucket list with wishes like “See the Golden Gate bridge”, and “Check out Getty museum”, and “Meet my writer/artist/artista idols who are in the area so I can fangirl in person” (*cough Angelina Jolie *cough). If you know me, you’d know that aside from being awkward, I am also shameless when it comes to fangirling. I was ready to mix up the two and let it all out in California! Woooo!
Asiana Airlines, I love you! You serve delicious food and your entertainment system is so good. I didn’t want to sleep because I wanted to watch everything hehe. Stopover was Korea, where I had ice cream and spicy soup and basically stuffed my face with all the noms.
My tita was my most excellent host, with her most excellent house with the library filled with art books and comics and lovely children’s books. She lived in a place with a porch filled with my dream plants and birds and every sunset is glorious. The mountains are what you’d see enveloping the area. I was welcomed by a rainbow! Spot the sliver here:
Because, L Word!
I ate the hugest sundae from Costco, with jumbo fresh strawberries in the syrup. I couldn’t finish it so I ate it for three days straight:
I ate my weight in whipped cream. I ate fresh raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and nectarines and dipped everything in whipped cream. Whipped cream I love you.
I got another snailmail surprise from PixaRoll yesterday!
Remember how delighted I was with my PixaRoll prints a few days ago? Well, that joy was multiplied (9 times to be precise, haha), when I got my 9 magnets from PixaRoll, yay!
I selected some artworks I’ve done, some nice places I want to always remember, and even a cheesy photo of myself and my partner on our 6th year. Memories immortalized in cute little magnets. I used the magnetic borders and collaged them with washi tape to create faux moveable “frames”. You can stick them side by side to create a panoramic view if you want. Stick a flat tin pan in your wall and use it as a memo board, with magnets instead of thumbtacks. Give them as gifts to people you love this holiday season. Stick them in a circle to enfold a love note in your ref. If you have a magnetic poetry set, you can combine it with witty text about the photo for quirky home decor. How about covering the whole ref door with personalized magnets? These magnets are made for fun times, I tell you.
As of now, the PixaRoll PH Facebook page already has 800 likes. Just a few more to reach 1000! When it does reach that target, the prints would be cheaper–wouldn’t you like that as well? 🙂 Let’s spread the word and like the page! 🙂
My friends and I have been talking about this cool app called PixaRolllately, the “photo kiosk” in your phone.
If you’re addicted to Instagram like me (I currently have more than 1000 photos within a year!), you probably reached a point where you wished you could print your fave IG photos instantly too. Think of PixaRoll as a photo genie, making your photo-printing wishes come true! You can also print not only Instagram photos, but also other photos you have stored in your phone–read more about it here.
Have I also mentioned that there’s a huge possibility of cheaper prints when there are more likes in the PixaRoll PH facebook page? Let’s all work together and spread the word so we can make this happen! Think of all the artsycraftsy possibilities when you get your prints: scrapbook pages, visual diaries, travel journals, home decor, even makeshift cards and postcards! I can already envision creating a handmade album for the printed photos and giving it as a Christmas gift to the people I love. Instant tangible memories! I’m multi-tasking and selecting photos that I want printed as I type this entry. Haha 🙂
Can’t wait to get my prints–stay tuned for more artsycraftsy ideas on how you can use the PixaRoll prints!
